Congratulations to Pete Rouse and the Seniors Team for retaining the trophy, the event this year being held at Belmont. This win means that Belmont have won the trophy 3 out of the last 4 years. The competiton is a team event between Belmont, Llanwern and Forest of Dean. Each team consists of 12 with the best 10 Stableford scores counting for each team. Well done everyone, the challenge is now to do the hat trick.

39 players entered the Terry Cox Memorial competition on Sunday 19 Aug with Pete Wilcox scoring 39 points and beating Ryan Jones on count back to win overall.
Full results were:
Div 1 – 1st Pete Wilcox 39 pts, 2nd Ryan Jones 39 pts, 3rd Jamie Roach 36 pts.
Div 2 – 1st Mike Williams 38 pts (overall 3rd), Tam Graham 36 pts, Brian Gough 36 pts.
Next weekend is the Denco Running Medal on Saturday and Sunday with a Club fundraising event on Bank Holiday Monday. Please see the earlier post or the club/Pro shop notice boards for more details.

Jennifer and I will be having a trip to the seaside on Monday 27th August to play at Tenby Golf Club for Round 7 of the Daily Mail Foursomes.
Fingers crossed we will be successful. If we do win this round we will then be heading to Forest of Arden where the top 16 in the country will compete in the 3 day playoff final.
This is the first time the ladies at Belmont have got this far in the competition and Jen and myself would like to thank everyone for their good luck wishes and support.

Just a quick note for the diary, The annual Club Dinner and Dance will be held on Saturday 2nd February 2013. The Dinner and Dance will be moving to a new venue, Gardner Hall at the Blind College.
Price per person will be £25 and this will include a 3 course meal with Coffee/Tea and then a disco.
Booking forms will be available on the club notice boards very soon
