Course Marshal

by Mark Suddes on March 4, 2011

We’re delighted to announce that Barry Parkin has been appointed as our first Course Marshal and he has already started his work at Belmont.

Barry will be known to many of you, as he has been a member at Belmont since the course opened.

He is charged with meeting and greeting visiting societies and explaining how best they can enjoy their day at Belmont, making sure tee times are adhered to and those paying have the right so to do, policing the course including ensuring proper dress codes and standards of etiquette are upheld and slow play avoided.

Please help him in his job as much as you can.

We intend to appoint other Course Marshals in due course – clearly Barry can’t cover all the times we may need him, especially as he wants to continue to play regularly at Belmont himself!
