Today at Belmont we are holding the annual charity golf day in aid of Herefordshire Alzheimer’s Society organised by our golf club member Chris Cole.
Chris and his team are hoping to raise even more money than last year for this wonderful cause. Last year the money raised at the golf day helped support many local services including:
A Memory cafe and a Singing for the Brain service in Leominster – to add to the existing Memory Cafes in Hereford and Ross-on-Wye and Singing for the Brain in Hereford. There are now 40 volunteers working reularly with the team of 5 part-time staff at these services.
Many local businesses have sponsored and donated gifts for the golf day to make it such a great success and special thanks go to Wayne Barton and Paul Bannister for all their help.
