Guidance
We can't have rules for everything but the following guidance is offered to members and visitors
General behaviour :
- There is no smoking allowed in any areas of the Clubhouse, Pro Shop or other properties at Belmont.
- General bad behaviour and use of bad language will not be tolerated anywhere at Belmont, and sanctions may be applied if this policy is not observed.
- Please do not wear spikes in the Bar & Restaurant area.
- Shoes must be worn at all times.
- No drinking of alcohol on the golf course without the prior consent of Golf Inns Ltd
Course dress code :
- Golf shoes must be worn on the course. No trainers please.
- Collarless and sleeveless shirts, t-shirts and denim jeans are strictly forbidden.
- Tailored shorts with sports socks may be worn.
- Base ball caps, if worn, should have a peak to the visor.
A reasonable standard of dress is expected at all times at Belmont – for example headwear should be removed whilst in the bar or restaurant and shoes must be worn at all times but golf shoes should not be worn in the bar or restaurant.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and Golf Inns Ltd reserves the right to deny access to anyone it believes is not appropriately dressed. The General Manager's decision is final!
Care of the Course :
- Avoid slow play at all times! If you are holding following players up and you have space in front of you, please wave them through at the next available opportunity.
- Have consideration for other golfers.
- Please repair pitch marks.
- Replace divots.
- Rake bunkers.
- Keep bags and trolleys off tees and greens.
Course Marshals
Our Course Marshals are here to keep the golf course running smoothly...
At busy times we will often have Course Marshals out on the course to help keep things running smoothly for the benefit of everyone on the Course.
Please don't hesitate to advise them of any on-course problems and please treat them with respect and courtesy at all times – they're here to ensure everyone's enjoyment of their golf at Belmont!
